I have always used credit unions instead of banks and so I joined SCSCU when I moved to Columbia 4 years ago. I was reasonably satisfied with this place, despite having fewer branches and longer wait times than either of my previous credit unions... that is until they instituted a $10/mo fee for each of my checking accounts (my wife and I have 3 there).
It is VERY POOR TASTE for a credit union to charge it's own members for basic services!!!
I dread switching to another establishment as it will require switching many of my auto-pay accounts, but I will do it one day. Until then I won't be doing any more business with them than I absolutely have to.
