This location is just opposite the side of 17 where you turn to Hampton plantation about a quarter-mile down the opposite road, Pass the cemetery on your right and it is a dirt road on the left beside a small white church and the rec center. It is very quiet, private, and serene. You can bring a camper or. tent here and camp over night. There is a nature boardwalk, and you can park near the dock where DNR docks their boats and fish off of a small floating dock. There is only room to fish on the floating dock pier for a couple of people, the pre-existing pier beside it needs to be repaired and is blocked off.
Even driving through the old oak trees swaying over the dirt roads are worth checking it out- it is very picturesque.
