In March I went and saw Dr. Kirchener. As a result of the visit, I was told that I needed to have my tonsils removed. The Dr. was amazing. I was told I had to pay 250.00 up front. I had paid 80.00 when I had a cardiac emergency and was admitted to the hospital before I could have my surgery. My husband went in a canceled the surgery. Today (4/19/2016) I saw my cardiologist and was told i was being sent to another hospital and that he would not be giving me cardiac clearance to have surgery until my heart issues were under control. I went by and talked to the office and was given a number to call the billing specialist. I was then informed that my request for my refund would be submitted to the administrator where it would be decided if it would be approved that I would be receiving my refund or not. And that this could take up to 3-4 weeks. I told the billing specialist that this made no sense, I had paid them money for a service that could be be done and now i had to wait to see if my refund would be approved. I am sure that if they paid money in advance for a service and it had to be cancelled that they would not want to wait for up to 4 weeks to get it back. This is not a good way to handle business. If i am cleared for surgery in the future , I can tell you that it will not be with this practice, simply due to the way that they handle their business, not because of the DR. I had to click one star to be able to post this, as far as I am concerned they don't deserve one!
